PRP service procedures

1. Consultation

  • Our doctor will assess your skin or hair condition and recommend which areas should receive PRP injections and the appropriate number of sessions for your specific problem.

  • If you have any underlying diseases or limitations, our doctor will recommend a safe practice.

2. Blood Collection

  • Our certified nurse will draw blood from you. The amount of blood used will depend on the area to be treated (approximately 10-20 ml as instructed by the doctor).

  • We use only sterile tools and equipment that meet safety standards.

3. Platelet separation (Centrifuge Process)

  • The drawn blood is spun in a centrifuge to separate out the platelet-rich plasma (PRP).

  • This process takes about 10-15 minutes.

4. Preparation of the injection site

  • The area where PRP will be injected will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.

  • The doctor will use cold compression or apply a local anesthetic to reduce pain during the injection.

5. PRP injection (Injection Process)

  • The doctor will use PRP obtained from separating platelets and inject it into the desired area of the skin, such as:

    • Face: Inject into areas with wrinkles, acne scars, or areas that need to be rejuvenated.

    • Scalp: inject in areas with thinning or hair loss problems.

  • The injection process takes approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on the area.

6. Post-Treatment Care

  • The doctor will advise on self-care after the procedure, such as avoiding strong sunlight, avoiding makeup or using irritating skin care products on the first day.

  • If PRP is performed on the scalp, avoid washing your hair for the first 24 hours.

  • Slight swelling and redness that occurs after the procedure will disappear within 1-3 days.

7. Follow-Up

  • The doctor may make an appointment for a follow-up after treatment or recommend the next visit according to the prescribed treatment plan.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. How many times does PRP need to be done to see results?

  • Results can be seen from the first time, but for best results, it is recommended to do it continuously for 3-5 times, each every 1-2 weeks in the beginning. When satisfactory results are achieved, the gap can be adjusted to 3-4 weeks to maintain the results.

2. How long does PRP take?

  • The whole process takes about 45-60 minutes.

3. How long do the results last?

  • After the hair roots are restored to health, the results can last for 6-12 months, depending on self-care and individual problems.

4. Does PRP hurt?

  • During the procedure, you may feel slight pain at the injection site, but your doctor will apply a cold compress to help numb your skin and reduce the sensation.

5. Are there any side effects?

  • Since PRP is derived from your own blood, the chances of allergic reactions or side effects are very low. However, some people may experience slight redness, swelling, or tightness at the injection site, which will disappear within 1-2 days.

6. Who should not do PRP?

  • People with severe anemia, blood diseases, or pregnant women should consult a doctor before receiving this service.
